![]() ![]() Better content key to better resultsJim Dougherty worked in the newspaper business for five years as a reporter, editor and ad director. His experience convinced him that newspapers and their advertisers must do a better job of using the Internet to convey information and achieve their business goals. For the last five years, he has worked toward that end, building sites for businesses that are designed from the beginning to be easy to update, expand and maintain, and can also accommodate the latest in design features while still being compatible with wireless devices.Jim graduated with a degree in History from U.C. Berkeley in 1980, but has also had an interest in programming since the days of coding Fortran on punch cards. He thus combines a concern for the content of web sites with the knowledge to develop them. Jim lives with his wife Marie-France and their four (almost/mostly) grown children in Tivoli, on the quiet eastern shore of the Hudson River, about 100 miles north of New York City.
